10Frequently asked questions

What is the purpose of the requested impact study?

Additionally, it investigates what is effective at the farmer and cooperative level and which marketing concepts are suitable for scaling.
Which specific methodology is central to the projects?

Which aspects of the Rockinsoils approach are being investigated?
The methodology includes soil and crop assessments, strategic soil fertility planning, and practical improvements such as water harvesting, organic fertilizers, and soil regeneration. Also, the training of NGOs, farmers, and entrepreneurs in project management and business planning is part of the approach.
What experiences have already been gained with the implementation in the region?
In Rwanda, a doubling to tripling of coffee yields has been reported at the Abakundakawa cooperative. In Uganda, work is being done with youth groups acting as service providers, and in Kenya, a commercial scaling model with SMEs has been implemented.
