Waterschap Rijn en IJssel aims to comply with the Water Framework Directive (WFD) by realising a biologically active carbon filter (BAKF) on the existing sand filters of WWTP Lichtenvoorde and Ruurlo. The assignment concerns works (detailed engineering, conversion, realisation, testing, and maintenance) for water treatment plants in the Netherlands (NUTS NL225, NL226, NL221). The scope includes the conversion to active carbon filters and maintenance for one year. Advice: interesting for local construction and engineering companies with experience in sand filter modifications and BAKF installations.

Waterschap Rijn en IJssel aims to comply with the Water Framework Directive (WFD). To comply with that directive, the 'Water op Maat' project has been started. In the Water op Maat (WoM) project, several measures are being taken, including the realisation of a tertiary treatment plant with a biologically active carbon filter (BAKF) at the treatment locations Ruurlo and Lichtenvoorde. In doing so, for WWTP Lichtenvoorde, existing sand filters from WWTP Haarlo will be used and modified, and for WWTP Ruurlo, the existing sand filter at the location will be used and modified.
