The new Amare cultural palace has been built in the city center of Den Haag. It houses the Nederlands Danstheater (NDT), Het Residentie Orkest, the Dans en Muziekcentrum (DMC), and the Koninklijk Conservatorium under one roof. Two new residential towers with apartments around Amare (Sontate tower A & Sonate tower B) were completed in 2023 and 2022 respectively. The development of Sonate tower C has been postponed.
