Mainstation Schiphol South East 150/20kV
Schiphol Nederland BV requires a new 150/20 kV high-voltage substation, Mainstation Schiphol South East, to meet the increasing demand for electricity resulting from the ambition to operate completely emission-free by 2030. The current network does not meet future capacity requirements, making an expansion necessary. The tender focuses on the design, construction, and connection of the substation within the Masterplan Power Grid (MPG) 2060. The assignment requires a technically high-quality, reliable, and future-proof system, including integration with existing infrastructure, safety and environmental standards, and clear planning and cost control. The procedure is non-public, meaning only selected suppliers will be invited to submit a proposal. The focus lies on innovation, sustainability, and minimizing the ecological footprint.

Following the Paris Agreement, SNBV has developed a vision to be emission-free with its own airport activities by 2030. To realize these ambitions, the use of natural gas and fossil fuels will be phased out, and a transition to electrically driven transport and equipment will be made as much as possible. Consequently, the demand for electricity at Schiphol will increase. To ensure that the electricity network is future-proof and can meet the demand of all connected parties, Schiphol has drafted the Masterplan Power Grid (MPG) 2060. It is because of this rapidly growing demand for electricity
