Execution of phase 10c and 10d of the Kockengen Waterproof project, consisting of works such as felling, removal of paving, raising of streets, and installation of sewerage for an amount of approx. € 12,000,000.00.
In recent years, the village of Kockengen has regularly suffered from flooding. This is caused, among other things, by the soft soil which results in land subsidence of several centimeters per year. Following the severe flooding in 2014, it was decided to launch the Kockengen Waterproof project. During eleven phases, the village will be raised integrally. This raising will be carried out using lightweight filling materials to ensure that future settlement is limited. During this raising, the sewerage will also be replaced and various utility companies will renew cables and pipelines.
