The assignment includes the purchase of applications and associated hardware, including management and maintenance during a maximum lifespan of 20 years. The estimated total contract value per lot is € 4,330,000.00 excluding VAT, including option years.
Rijkswaterstaat (RWS) has started replacing current traffic light controllers (VRIs) with intelligent traffic light controllers (iVRIs). The reason for this is that the iVRI is the new standard and the iVRI facilitates specific target groups nationwide, such as prioritizing emergency and rescue services (including road inspectors), logistics, and cyclists. The past few years, RWS has replaced or converted 19 VRIs into iVRIs in a first tranche.
