01What is being requested
This concerns the BVC inspections of approximately 70,000 trees, whereby one third of the total area is checked annually. The assignment will be executed via a framework agreement with an initial term of 3 years and extensions up to a maximum of 6 years.
The Cluster Management Department is the owner/manager of the municipal trees of the Municipality of Leiden. In this role, it has a legal duty of care regarding the inspection and care of its trees. Inspecting the trees is a part of this. For the inspection of trees, the municipality wishes to use a specialized inspection agency that is familiar with the BVC methodology (BoomVeiligheidsControle) as described in the Handboek Bomen of the norminstituut bomen.
