01What is being requested
Development of an inspection method for the piston rods of the Oosterscheldekering via an innovation partnership. The contract consists of two phases: Phase 1 (Research and development) for the development and validation of the measurement method, and Phase 2 (Commercial supply and maintenance phase) for the delivery of a second product and maintenance for a maximum of 10 years.
For the inspection of the piston rods of the hydraulic cylinders of the Oosterscheldekering, there is currently no suitable, standardized inspection method available. The current visual inspections within the maintenance regime are insufficient to objectively monitor degradation and prioritize renovation. Rijkswaterstaat therefore wishes to develop and implement an automated, objective inspection method, including the associated product.
