Since 1956, the Technical Department has been housed in its current workshop in Leusden. Initially, this was only for the overhaul of the tank of that time, the Centurion. Today, the Technical Department performs Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) on all land-based weapon systems of Defence. In addition to the periodic and major maintenance of these land-based systems, the department also carries out modifications, testing, and projects to improve the deployment of the Army.
